Introduction

Overview of Sanctions Screening

Chainalysis Sanctions Screening encompasses two key tools for identifying cryptocurrency wallet addresses linked to sanctions designations:

  • Chainalysis Sanctions API: A free-to-use RESTful API that returns whether a cryptocurrency wallet address has been included in a sanctions designation. The API is available for all to use and is regularly updated to reflect the latest sanctions designations.
  • Chainalysis oracle: Designed for blockchain smart contract ecosystems, the Chainalysis oracle is a smart contract that provides on-chain sanctions screening. This solution enables decentralized applications (dApps) to directly interact with and verify wallet compliance with sanctions lists within the blockchain environment.

Note: If you are an existing Chainalysis customer, you already have access to all information provided by the Chainalysis Sanctions API and more. Learn more here.
